Japan stunned the United States in the Women’s World Cup Final on Sunday.

The match went to penalty kicks after the teams were tied at two after two 15-minute extra periods.

Japan then outscored the Americans 3-1 in penalty kicks to pull off the upset. Japan entered Sunday’s title match 0-22-and-3 all-time against the United States.
