In Roeland Park, Kansas a man dressed as a woman robbed the US Bank Tuesday. It’s not the first bank robbery in the metro by a cross-dressing bandit.
Police say the man walked in wearing bright red lipstick, a yellow shirt, black sunglasses, capri pants and was carrying a green cloth purse. He presented a threatening note to the teller demanding money.
He did not show a weapon. There were no injuries.
The man was black, in his 20s, between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin build and had curly hair.
Last Thursday, a black man in a wig and a sundress robbed the M&I Bank on West 47th Street in Kansas City. Police said they are looking into whether the same person was behind both robberies.
