The Missouri Western women’s golf team wrapped up their fall schedule with a 2nd place finish at the Bulldog Classic. The event was played at the Kirksville Country Club in Kirksville, Mo. The Griffons fired a two round total of 673 (336-337) seven strokes ahead of host school Truman State 680 (352-328).
The winner of the event was Nebraska-Omaha with a 638 (321-317). Lincoln University finished in fourth with a 688 while Truman State B fired a 727 and St. Ambrose fired a 748. The individual winner of the event was UNO’s Armana Christianson firing a two round total of 153 (80-73).
Shelby Stone was the top finisher for the Griffons tying for 4th with a 163 (77-86). Casi Webb was the only other Griffon in the top ten finishing in 7th with a 165 (83-82). Natalie Bird (171), Kristen Cooley (177) and Darcy Smith (178) finished in 12th, 17th and tied for 18th respectively.
The spring 2012 schedule will be released in February.
