MIAA Commissioner Dr. Bob Boerigter announced Monday that Northwest Missouri at Missouri Western on Nov. 5 and Missouri Southern at Pittsburg State on Nov. 12 will fill the two flex slots on the 2011 MIAA Broadcasting Network football schedule.
“We had opted for the flex scheduling to try to bring forward games that had significant interest by fans,” Boerigter said. “These two games will have implications for not only the championship, but also for postseason play.”
Heading into the final three weeks of the regular season, Pittsburg State sits alone at the top of the MIAA standings with a 7-0 league record, while Northwest Missouri and Washburn are in a tie for second at 5-1 and Missouri Western is in fourth at 5-2 in conference play.
Kickoff for both the Northwest Missouri-Missouri Western and Missouri Southern-Pittsburg State games will be at 2 p.m. CT, and will be broadcast live on the MIAA Network.
