After finishing one of the most successful seasons, the Northwest Missouri State women’s soccer team was honored by the NSCAA with the Team Academic Award for the 2011 campaign.

Tracy Hoza in her ninth year as head coach guided the Bearcats to a 10-7-2 record as the team finished with a 3.18 GPA. Northwest was one of only two schools in the MIAA to earn the NSCAA Team Academic Award as Missouri Western was the other.

Northwest earned its first ever MIAA Postseason Tournament berth advancing to the semifinals, before falling to eventual champion Central Missouri. The Bearcats had seven players earn All-MIAA honors including senior Tammie Eiberger who was named first-team All-MIAA as well as third-team All-Region.
