The Missouri Western tennis team wrapped up its regular season this afternoon, falling 9-0 against Northwest Missouri State. The Griffons struggled winning just eight games in the match. Western falls to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in MIAA action.

Nicole Kerr played the best singles for the Griffons falling 6-2 and 6-1 against Camila Quesada while Ceara Boldridge fell 6-1 and 6-1 against Erika Leston. In doubles Boldridge and Kayla Dysart fell 8-2 against Quesada and Alexis Bartek while the other two doubles teams fell 8-0.

Western honored Alecia Jenkins and Nicole Kerr before the match as they played their final home match of their career for the Griffons.

The Bearcats improve to 10-10 on the season and 5-1 in MIAA competition.

Western will be in action this weekend particpating in the MIAA Conference Tournament with the first match being played at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 20 in Kansas City, Mo. at the Plaza Tennis Center. The Griffons first round opponent will be released later this week.
