ST. ANN, Mo. (AP) — A man who became upset about losing his home to foreclosure is hospitalized after being shot by police in suburban St. Louis.
St. Ann police chief Bob Schrader said that the man refused to leave the house Wednesday during a foreclosure eviction.
Officers fired tear gas into the house and the man fired shots out a window and a back door. When he returned to the front of the home, he allegedly pointed guns at Schrader and other officers, prompting an officer to shoot him.
The suspect was hit in the arm, dropped the gun and fell to the ground.
Details about his condition have not been released.
