Heat is suspected of playing a role in the death of an 80-year-old Missouri man. The man’s body was found Saturday in his home in Saint Louis. Deputy Fire Chief Mike Arras says emergency medical technicians reported that the death appeared to be heat-related.
Temperatures in the city hit 105 degrees Saturday, breaking the record for the date of 103 in 1931. Fire station crews have been calling the elderly to check on them and dropping by if no one answers.
