Police in Kansas City are investigating the death of a man who fell 17 stories from a balcony at the Westin Crown Center Hotel.

A group of people staying at the hotel called security when they noticed the man missing.

A security guard went out on the room’s balcony and spotted the man’s body in a grassy area below at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The name of the 20-year-old victim has not yet been released. Detectives say the man’s death appears to have been accidental.
