The Missouri Army National Guard’s Missouri Recruiting and Retention Battalion recently honored three citizen soldiers based in St Joe for their efforts in building the National Guard’s force statewide.
Among those honored were Staff Sgt. Elizabeth Pawli and Sgt. 1st Class Jordan Bennett who each received the Adjutant General’s Top 10 Producer Award.
The honor goes to the top 10 recruiters in Missouri who enlisted the most Citizen-Soldiers. Pawli was in the elite group of non-commissioned officers from over 70 recruiters currently in the state.
Missouri Army National Guardsman, Sgt. 1st Class Kimberly Komar, was awarded the Sergeant Major Award for Recruiting and Retention Excellence in 2012.
All three are with the Area 1, Missouri Recruiting and Retention Battalion which is based in St. Joseph.
Komar earned one of only two such awards given annually to trainers and assistant noncommissioned officers in charge who contributed significantly to the Missouri Army National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion during the past year.
