The Missouri Western football team jumped two spots this week in the D2Football.com Media Poll to 5th which was released on Tuesday morning. This marks the highest ranking the Griffons have ever received in either the D2Football.com poll or the AFCA Coaches Poll. MWSU is 8th in this weeks AFCA Poll which was released Monday.

The Griffons are 2-0 after defeating non-conference opponent William Jewell 56-0 last week in Spratt Stadium. This week the Griffons take on MIAA newcomer Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday, September 15. It is Military Appreciation Day and Family Day on the campus of MWSU. Kickoff is set for 6:00 pm in Spratt Stadium.
