“Bucket List Bandit” Suspect Nabbed In Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – A small-town Oklahoma police officer says a man suspected of being the “Bucket List Bandit” appeared extremely nervous after running a stop sign.

Roland Assistant Police Chief David Goode said Monday he quickly realized something was wrong as he approached the SUV being driven by 54-year-old Michael Eugene Brewster.

Goode says the SUV’s license plate didn’t match the vehicle, and Brewster appeared uncomfortable after being pulled over Thursday.

Goode says a search of Brewster and the vehicle uncovered a loaded gun and dye-stained cash.

Brewster is now jailed in Oklahoma. His attorney declined comment.

The FBI suspects he robbed banks in Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Utah. He was dubbed the “Bucket List Bandit” after allegedly mentioning to bank tellers that he had only months to live.

The FBI used electronic billboards across the country seeking information in the case (click for more).
