The Missouri Sheriffs’ Association will award scholarhips to some deserving Criminal Justice majors.
Platte County Sheriff Richard Anderson says the scholarships will go to 16 college-bound Missouri high school seniors who intend to pursue a criminal justice career at a Missouri college or university.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
· Be in good standing with his/her school
· Have a good reference from his/her school counselor
· Demonstrate financial need
· Have a 2.0 GPA or greater
· Be active in extra-curricular activities
Also required, a paragraph attached to the application detailing his/her goals ten years after high school graduation.
