3pm: I-229 has reopened after a traffic accident shortly before 1:30 Friday afternoon.

2:09 pm: Officers at the scene say traffic will continue to be blocked for at least another half hour to 45 minutes. Officials at the scene said no one is claiming any injuries.

1:25 p.m. St Joseph Police say northbound I-229 is closed just north of East Lake Boulevard because of an accident.
