The Missouri Western football team moved up to No. 5 in the Super Region Three Rankings, which were released Monday afternoon.
The top two teams in the region receive a buy in the first week of the playoffs, while the other four will play with No. 3 hosting No. 6 and No. 4 hosting No. 6
on Saturday, November 17.
The Super Region Three consists of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, Great American Conference, and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Association.
Henderson State moved up one spot to take the No. 1 ranking away from Minnesota State Mankato, who now sits at No. 2. Hardin stayed at the 3rd spot as Northwest Missouri State moved up one and Emporia State fell two spots.
The Griffons continue MIAA action this weekend, as they take on 25th ranked Washburn University at 1:30 p.m. at Spratt Stadium.
