Missouri transportation officials are practicing their response to snow and ice.

The state Department of Transportation planned a winter response drill Wednesday.

Officials responsible for central Missouri plan to open the agency’s emergency operations center and send plows and spreaders onto state highways. The drill was scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
