The best price we found in St Joseph was at 2014 S. Belt Highway, which was advertising $3.09 Friday morning. Two retailers on St Joseph Avenue were advertising $3.11. The average price in St Joseph was just over $3.13 per gallon according to AAA.

In St Louis Friday, at least one retailer was advertising self-serve regular for under $3.00 per gallon. The average price across St Louis was $3.189.

The Kansas City area average was $3.147, down from just over $3.22 a week ago.

The national average was $3.496, down over a penny from Thursday, down more than six cents from a week ago, and down 28.6 cents from a month ago.

The statewide average in Missouri was $3.176, while the average across Kansas was $3.318 per gallon. In southeastern Nebraska, retailers were charging $3.459 per gallon.
