The superintendent in the Lathrop R-II school district says “all is good!”

On the district’s Web site, Superintendent Chris Fine says maintenance staff spent the weekend cleaning and disinfecting the buildings. Fine says they also checked the elementary school for carbon monoxide.

He says classes are on for Monday and Tuesday, then they’ll take another break for Thanksgiving.

Says Fine: “I’m thankful that I can send my kids to a great school!”

Fine was forced to cancel classes on Friday after a large number of students and staff called in sick with flu-like symptoms.
