Jean Adams

1936-2012

Jean Adams, 76, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was born June 2, 1936 to Charles and Mable (Scott) Hix. Jean married John Adams on October 13, 1963. He survives of the home. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife as well as a talented seamstress and cook. Family was very important to her and she was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Hix Jr.; and a sister, Dorothy Branson. Survivors: husband; sons, John Adams, James Adams (Beth); daughter, Anne DeRoin (Chad); and three grandchildren, Kyle Adams, Sydney DeRoin, and Riley DeRoin. Services: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Susan K. Cook

1949-2012

Susan K. Cook, 63, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, November 26, 2012 at her residence. She was born August 17, 1949 to Karl and Mary (Tischer) Hunzeker. Susan married John W. Cook on June 13, 1998. Mrs. Cook was very active with her job for the St. Joseph Youth Alliance and was a member of Grace Evangelical Church. She also enjoyed taking Carribean cruises. She was preceded in death by her parents; and aunt, Naomi with whom she was very close. Survivors: husband; daughter, Paige Hoskins, Tucson, Arizona; sons, Matt Hoskins (Elizabeth), St. Joseph, Missouri and John Lee Cook (Amanda), St. Joseph, Missouri; daughter, Angela Marie Cook, Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Zayne, Logan, Gavin, and Mashaia; sisters, Carol Bobbett (Allen Lee), Arlington, Texas, Sarah Bobbett (Garry), Arlington, Texas, and Mary Lunn, Arlington, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
