Steve R. Crockett, 60, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. He was born August 16, 1952 to Squint and Stoutie (Stout) Crockett. Steve graduated from Dekalb High School in 1970. Mr. Crockett retired from St. Joseph Light and Power with over 20 years of service and then worked as a correctional officer at WRDCC for the last 10 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the IBEW local union. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, but a bigger fan of his family and friends, whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Vicki Sue Crockett; and parents. Survivors: son, Cory Crockett; and brothers, Virgil Crockett (Deby) and Greg Crockett (Joyce). Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
