Chiefs Assistant Coach Cited For DWI

An assistant coach for the Kansas City Chiefs was cited Sunday night for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Kansas City police said Adam Zimmer was involved in a single-vehicle crash at about 9 p.m. at the intersection of Ward Parkway and Huntington Road.   Zimmer was the only occupant of the vehicle, according to police.

Zimmer, who is the son of Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, was not injured in the crash.

Zimmer is a defensive assistant and assistant linebackers coach in his third year with the Kansas City Chiefs.
