Anna Laura Washington died on January 2, 2013 at her residence.
She was born to union of Albert and Gladys Stewart on February 9, 1945. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents (Abe and Anna Laura Stringer and Edmond and Lottie Mae Stewart), and sister; (Bessie McCree).
She confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at Trinity Baptist Church under the late Rev. Phillips. Anna was a woman of faith and licensed as an evangelist. Anna and William (spouse) founded Washington’s Puppet Ministry over 20 years ago in Wichita, Kansas. She used the Puppet Ministry as a tool to win souls for Christ. Anna was educated in the St. Joseph, Missouri School District, attending Horace Mann Elementary School. She graduated from Central high School with “four years perfect attendance”, 1964.
Following high school, Anna continued her education and received the following degrees: A Bachelor of Business Administration (Kansas Newman University); a Master in Finance and Accounting (Friends University, Wichita, Kansas); and a Master of Theology degree (Ambassadors of Faith Bible, Inc. St. Joseph, Missouri).
Anna was employed by the U.S. Department of Commerce Finance Division, retiring in 2009 and later from the Northwest Missouri Regional Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center.
She was married to William Y. Washington, Jr. on August 2, 1970 (42 years). She spent many years traveling extensively throughout the United States and Ismir Turkey (Holy Land) working in Civil Service jobs while William served in the United States Air Force.
She enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing, crocheting, reading the Bible, praying for strangers, friends, and family as a witness for the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, William Y. Washington, Jr. (St. Joseph, Missouri); son, Kenneth Washington (St. Joseph, Missouri); daughter, JerreAnne Washington (Jefferson City, Missouri); sister, Dr. Minister Dorothy Blakley (St. Joseph, Missouri); sister, Lottie Stewart-Dawn (Kansas City, Missouri); mother-in-law, Francis M. Washington (St. Joseph, Missouri); brother-in-law, Leo Blakely (St. Joseph, Missouri); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Hope Fellowship Church. Interment will be afterward, at Ashland Cemetery. The family will receive friends before service Saturday, one hour prior to the service, at Hope Fellowship Church Mart Plaza, Suite L4, 2921 North Belt Highway, St. Joseph, Missouri 64506.

Mary Ellen Dinwiddie
1928-2013
Mary Ellen Dinnwiddie, 84, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Heartland Medical Regional Center.
She was born June 21, 1928 to William C. and Hazel (Smith) Cabiness.
Mary Ellen married Gerald Leroy Dinwiddie on June 27, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1971.
Mrs. Dinwiddie graduated at Lafayatte High School in 1946. She was a bookkeeper for 29 ½ years at Goetz/Pearl Brewing Company and 12 ½ years with Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. She was also a member of Marvin McMurry United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
Survivors: close friends, Raymond and Annetta Lau and family; and numerous other family and friends.

Rosalie “Rosie” Corbet

Rosalie “Rosie” Corbet, 80, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 17, 1932 to John and Alta E. (Vanderslice) Puccio in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She married Hugh L. Corbet on August 6, 1965. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Corbet worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Heartland West for eighteen years retiring in 1997.
She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church and the Humane Society.
Rosie was an animal lover and enjoyed shopping, music and movies.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: her husband, Hugh Corbet; daughter, Michelle Fitzpatrick (Michael); beloved grandson, Nicholas Fitzpatrick; and sister-in-law, Lora Crowley.
Mass of Christian Burial: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Horigan Chapel. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. She was born May 9, 1944 to George and Leona Lynch in Maryville, Missouri.
Evelyn married Jack Raymond Murray on September 12, 1961. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2006.
