Alma Louise Justus, 84, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at a local healthcare facility. She was born on July 16, 1928 to Edward and Twyla Thomas in Glenwood, Iowa. Alma married Harold Justus and together they had thirteen children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved to sing and bake. She also has a twin brother, Vernard Thomas in Coin, Iowa. We all love her and will miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Twyla Shoemake; brother; and a sister. Survivors: children, Hazel Fones, Benjamin Justus, Joseph Justus, Samuel Justus, Neda Boggs, all from St. Joseph, Missouri; Harold Jr. and Matthew from Nebraska; Joyce Petty Coldwell, Texas; Thelma Wilson, Paris Texas; Roberta Medina; Dallas, Texas; Deloris Hawk, Bakerfield, California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris A. Tiedt, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at a local healthcare facility. She was born December 3, 1927 to Charles Henry and Adria Leola (Harris) Tiedt in St. Joseph, Missouri. Ms. Tiedt retired March of 1990 from Mead after 44 years and one month. She was an avid book reader and collector of music and old movies. Doris was also a lifelong fan of the Lennon Sisters, Lawrence Welk Show and more recently the TV show Bones. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charlie and Carl Tiedt and Irvin Dutton; and sisters, Wilma Trosper and Dorothy Begley. Survivors: brother, Norman Tiedt (Nancy), Savannah, Missouri; sister, Louise Woody (Ronald), Lee’s Summit, Missouri; 32 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
