1948-2013

Mary Margaret Sego Smith, 64, Cosby, Missouri died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 9, 1948 to Thomas and Margaret (Fitzmaurice) Sego in St. Joseph, Missouri. Mary married Rick Smith on November 13, 1993. He survives of the home. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a volunteer at the MIR House. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: husband, Rick; daughter, Kamara Sego Roach (Roger), St. Joseph, Missouri; step-daughter, Andrea Smith Johnson (Ryan), Lee’s Summit, Missouri; grandchildren, Carston and Cambry Roach, Ellie and Grant Johnson; brother, Tom Sego (Leasa), St. Joseph, Missouri; sister, Debby Marzullo (Richard), St. Joseph, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Dorothy L. Norris

1921-2013

Dorothy L. Norris, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, January 17, 2013 at a local healthcare facility. She was born December 1, 1921 to James and Jane (Peden) Shaw in Tonganoxie, Kansas. Dorothy married Orvil Norris on January 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1980. She was a member of the Methodist Faith. Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Sandy Ballentine; granddaughter, Shelly Jiminez; twelve brothers and sisters; and parents. Survivors: son, Danny Norris (Norma), Clarksdale, Missouri; daughter, Tina Norris, Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. Dr. Joseph Lehmkuhle, DO

1932-2013

Dr. Joseph Lehmkuhle, DO, 80, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his home. He was born April 28, 1932 to John and Ida Lehmkuhle in Casnovia, Michigan. Joseph married Margaret O’Hara on October 7, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. He proudly served in the United States Army. Joseph had a practice in Grand Junction, Colorado specializing in Alcoholism treatment, and later worked at the State Home and Regional Center also in Colorado. He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church, MIR House, and also various prolife organizations. He enjoyed golfing, tennis, skiing, and reading. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and three sisters. Survivors: wife, Margaret; daughters, Mary Ann O’Hara, MD (Tom Hawn, MD), Sister Sheila Lehmkuhle,FMM and Maureen Goetz (John); sons, Brian Lehmkuhle (Belinda), Mike Lehmkuhle, and Sean Lehmkuhle; six grandchildren, Sophia and Lily Hawn-O’Hara, Allyson, Connor, Mary and Ryan Goetz; and sister, Irma Hedgepath. Mass of Christian Burial: 12:00 P.M. Saturday, St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 P.M.
