A 24-year-old substitute teacher for the St Joseph School District was arraigned Tuesday on two additional counts of statutory sodomy.

Patrick Banks appeared via teleconferencing from the Buchanan County Jail.

Banks is now accused of illegal sexual acts with three young boys.

He’s scheduled for trial in June on one count involving the then eight year old son of his former wife.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled Thursday on two new counts filed last week. Banks remains in custody in lieu of bond.

He is on administrative leave from the school district.
