The No. 16-ranked Benedictine College women’s basketball team limited Graceland University to 18 field goals on Thursday night en route to a 69-48 win inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
Benedictine (19-3, 9-1 HAAC) jumped out to a 18-point lead at the half over Graceland (2-16, 0-10 HAAC) on the heels of a 45.2 percent shooting effort in the first 20 minutes of play. Of their 14 first-half field goals, seven were from beyond the arc as the Ravens hit 7 of 15 3-pointers.
The Ravens bench outscored the Yellowjackets 19-8.
Benedictine guard Justic Payne scored a game-high 17 points, converting 5 3-pointers for the fourth time this season. Forward Erin Murphy added a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Graceland was led by the 16-point effort of forward Jerica Smith.
The Ravens travel to Springfield, Mo., on Saturday for a HAAC match up at 2 p.m. against Evangel University.
