Traffic investigators say high speed contributed to a traffic accident late Friday that killed two people in Livingston County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Dodge Ram pickup driven by Byron King, 27, of Chillicothe went airborne when it crested a hill along Missouri Route 190 west of Chillicothe at about ten p.m. Friday.

The truck left the road, hit a fence and two utility poles. The vehicle overturned numerous times, ejecting the passenger, Dakota Nichols, 19, of Trenton. Both men were killed.
