Airliner Lands Safely After Landing Gear Glitch

great-lakes-airA small airliner landed safely after experiencing problems with its landing gear near North Platte, Nebraska.

According to a report at North Platte Post, dispatchers received the call at about 2:20 p.m. Sunday.

The crew reported that the Great Lakes Airlines Beechcraft 1900 with 17 passengers and two pilots onboard was unable to deploy its landing gear.

 

Officials say the crew was able to deploy the landing gear manually and land safely and without injury. According to the North Platte Police Department, no one was transported to the hospital or required any emergency care.
