A 36-year-old Oregon, Missouri man suffered moderate injuries in a traffic accident in which an unknown second motorist left the scene.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports James Halling was hurt when the Ford Escape he was riding in ran off the west side of US-59 five miles east of Oregon.
A second motorist may have contributed to the accident but left the scene.
The patrol says the vehicle and its driver have not been identified.
Halling was taken to Heartland by ambulance where he was treated and released. The driver of the Ford Escape, Meghan Boatright of Oregon, was not injured.
