Three cows in the roadway along a state highway near Wichita caused an accident that sent two women to the hospital Sunday evening. One of the women suffered what were described as disabling injuries, but both women were in fair condition Monday.
According to crash report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, four cars collided with the animals along K-254 highway near the town of Benton in Butler County.
Two other women were not hurt when their cars hit the cattle. The condition of the cattle was not reported.
