St Joseph police have arrested a suspect in connection with break-ins at four south-side homes that prompted a school lockdown and a lot of anxious moments on February 13.

One of the property owners was injured as a result of contact with the suspect.

Investigators identified the suspect as Zachary W. C. Zahner, 25 of St Joseph.

 

Zahner has been arrested and charged in Municipal Court with two counts of trespassing, one count of property damage, and one count of assault. Officials say two of the victims have declined to prosecute.
