Fire inspectors continue their look at what caused a house fire on St Joe’s south side early Thursday morning.

By Thursday afternoon the cause of the fire at 219 Blake Street was still under investigation.

 

Inspector Steve Henrichson of the St Joseph Fire Department says a man and woman and their two small children lived in the home, but none was at home when the fire was reported shortly after two a.m.

There were no injuries. The fire was confined to a back bedroom and caused an estimated $15 thousand damage. Henrichson says the owners will need to make some repairs before electrical service can be restored.
