Jerry E. Ford
1922-2013

Jerry Edward Ford, 91, Easton, Missouri died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at a local healthcare center in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was born January 28, 1922 in Cosby, Missouri, the son of Oscar Edward Ford and Faye Johnson Ford. He moved to the San Antonio Missouri community at an early age.
Mr. Ford owned and operated a Grade A dairy farm for twenty-eight years. He then changed to beef and grain farming. His interests always centered around family, rural life and farming.
He was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1940. He attended Johnson’s Business School in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II and stationed in Japan.
On April 6, 1950 he married Dorthy E. Buehler at First Christian Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. They celebrated sixty-two years of marriage.
Jerry was a member of the former San Antonio Christian Church and later attended Central Christian Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a member of St. Joseph Lodge #78 A.F. & A.M., 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and member of Moila Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In addition to his wife, Dorthy, of the home, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Ford Schwader and husband, Kevin, of St. Joseph, Missouri; two grandsons, Grant Ford Schwader and Tyler Jacob Schwader. Frances T. Haynes
1927-2013

Frances T. Haynes,85, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born August 4, 1927 to Lawrence C. Doring and Lillian A. (Bucher) Grable.
Frances married Jack E. Collier on September 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1952. She later married Virgil L. “Doc” Haynes on May 20, 1977.
Mrs. Haynes graduated from the Convent of Sacred Heart in 1945 and was employed by Southwestern Bell for 37 years. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers and past treasurer and vice-president of the St. Joseph Cathedral Altar Society.
Fran was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved family celebrations, holidays, reading, growing roses, needlework, playing cards, and her pets. She was always very stylish, gracious, and lately she enjoyed Turner Classic movies.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack; parents; granddaughter, Beth Curry; and sisters, Anna Marie Boyles and Pauline Doring.
Survivors: husband, Doc; daughter, Susan Curry (Tim), St. Joseph, Missouri; brother, Lawrence C. Doring (Beverly), Bartlett, Tennessee; step-son, Mark Haynes, Blue Springs, Missouri; step-daughters, Jennifer Fletchall, Kansas City, Kansas, Michelle Foutch, St. Joseph, Missouri, Cynthia Haynes, St. Charles, Missouri, Norma Haynes, Kansas City, Missouri, and Fonda Hilton, Amity, Missouri; granddaughter, Laura Curry-Mathews (Michael), Lawrence, Kansas; eight step-grandchildren, Leah Rickard (Tom), St. Peters, Missouri, Lynn Ann Swartz (Nathan), Blue Springs, Missouri, Craig Haynes, Blue Springs, Missouri, Ginger, Michael, and BJ Hilton, St. Joseph, Missouri, Angelique Wade (Brent), Arlington, Texas, and Nicole Fletchall, Kansas City, Missouri; several step-great-grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews; nephew, Collier Gerhardt; and nieces, Linda Hickey (Ted), Gilda Owens (Richard), Michele Blythe, and Jennifer Bruff (Tracy).
