Homes Evacuated After Propane Tanker Overturns

A truck driver from Kidder, Missouri suffered serious injuries after the propane tanker truck he was driving overturned near Holt, Missouri.

Authorities say the tanker was carrying 2,400 gallons of propane, and spilled at least 55 gallons.

Clay County deputies, state troopers, and firefighters from Kearney and Holt responded to the scene, along Route-MM west of Cameron Road.

They evacuated about ten homes in the area of the crash as a precaution.

The driver, 53-year-old Tony Johnson, was taken to a Kansas City Hospital with serious injuries.
