Muriel Bahr, 67, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. She was born September 18, 1945 to Fred and Beverly Bahr in St. Joseph, Missouri. Muriel was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was preceded in death by her parents; and niece, Jody Sousa. Survivors: brother, Douglas Bahr (Sandra), Aurora, Colorado; nephew, Rick Bahr (Darla); four great nephews; and one great niece. Services: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Christ Episcopal Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Kenneth Lee “Ken” Marshall, 73, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on March 7, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Ken was the son of Howard and Virginia (Asher) Marshall. He graduated from Gallatin High School and then went on to receive his degree from Culver-Stockton College, as well as serving in the Missouri Army National Guard. Ken worked in insurance for a number of years before retiring as Vice President of Underwriting at Cameron Mutual Insurance. He was active in many civic affairs, including his work with the Vincil Lodge No. 62 A.F. & A.M., Moila Temple, Omega Shrine Club, and the Omega SandKats. Ken shared his life-long passion for music by directing choirs and entertaining his family and friends. In 2002, he married the love of his life, Janet Welch. Together they were active members of the Francis Street First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife, Janet, of the home; son, Rick Marshall (Laurie), Springdale, Arkansas; daughter, Debbie Parnacott, Lawson, Missouri; brother, Howard Marshall (Martha), Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; two step-granddaughters; and one step-great-granddaughter. Services: 3:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Ora B. Taylor, 98, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, March 8, 2013 at a local healthcare center. She was born August 16, 1914 at Cosby, Missouri to Turner and Ida Miller Carrel. On January 29, 1934 she married Freeman W. Taylor in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1998. Mrs. Taylor owned and operated Taylor Alinement Service with her husband retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her brother, John W. Carrel; sisters, Elsie Veraguth and Florence Morgan. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Meyer (Donnie E.), St. Joseph, Missouri; two grandchildren, Steven E. Meyer (Judith), St. Joseph, Missouri, and Taylor A. Ludlam (Mike), Oak Grove, Missouri; and six great-grandchildren, Megan, Maureen and Jeffrey Meyer, Mitchell, Colton and Nicholas Askew.
