St Joseph Police have arrested a 19-year-old Hamilton, Missouri man in connection with a convenience store robbery last month.  Investigators believe he may be linked to several other robberies in the St Joseph area.

Officials nabbed Jaylund Isaiah Powell Monday at a residence in the 2700 block of jackson.

Powell is a suspect in a robbery occurring at the Break Time at 402 N. Woodbine on February 8, 2013.

 

He has subsequently been charged with that crime and is being held at the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center on a $100,000 bond.  Formal arraignment is scheduled Friday.

Authorities said at the time that a suspect held up two convenience stores within a couple of hours, dressed in a shocking pink sweat suit.  (Find more here)

Authorities in Cameron said a bandit wearing pink robbed the Casey’s Convience Store (south) in Cameron in between the two St Joseph robberies.
