Jacquetta Seevers, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, March 18, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born November 20, 1927 to Sam and Lillian Schaeffer in Forest City, Missouri.
Jacquetta married J.B. Seevers on May 4, 1946. He survives of the home.
She worked at J.C.Penney Department Store. She was a member of Woodson Chapel Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She also helped with Cub Scouts and PTA, and was a strong supporter for both the cancer and arthritis foundations,
Jacquetta was an artist who enjoyed painting. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, reading, and fishing, especially trout fishing in Bennett Springs. She was a very encouraging and loving lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and six brothers.
Survivors: husband; daughter, Carrol Watkins; sons, Daniel Seevers (Roberta), and Stephen Seevers (Kathy); nine grandchildren; five great- grandchildren, with two more on the way; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Sam Schaeffer; and sisters, Pansy Weyer and Margie Heken.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
