A Maryville, Missouri man was killed Sunday by a hit and run driver in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Officials say the man was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene early Sunday. The suspect was arrested later Sunday morning.

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge says the victim was 31-year-old Chadwick Michael Range.

Selvin Porfirio Gonzales-Escobar of Myrtle Beach was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and driving with a suspended license.

Edge says Mr Range was a student at the Golf Academy of America.   His family moved to the area a few days before the accident.
