Murder charges have been filed against two central Missouri men, but authorities believe about a dozen crimes were committed in a spree that began Sunday morning.
Randolph County Prosecutor Mike Fusselman filed first-degree murder charges against Jeffery Jay Nichols and Christopher D. Lewis, both of Macon. Bond was set at $1 million each.
That charge stems from the fatal stabbing of 92-year-old Carmelita L. Kaser, of Moberly. At least two vehicles were stolen, two people were shot, and several guns were reported stolen.
