Mary F. “Fannie” Johnson, 66, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 18, 1946 to Carlos and Jessie (Malloy) Mendenhall in Bucklin, Missouri.
Fannie married Gary Johnson on August 21, 1965. He survives of the home.
She enjoyed the outdoors, especially family camping trips. She was a person who was always to lend a helping hand and very giving and caring.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors: husband; daughter, Jennifer (Johnson) Heck (Mike); son, John Johnson (Sheila); six grandchildren, J.D., Garrett, Kaylee, Gabrielle, Cade, and William; brother, Marvin Mendenhall (Connie); and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:30 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment North Swedish Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bucklin, Missouri, 4:30 P.M. Saturday. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Friday. Eileen Marie Siela, 82, Easton, Missouri died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at a local health care facility.
She was born April 28, 1930 to Chester E. and Olive L. (Sawyer) Marshall.
She married Robert E. Siela, April 18, 1953.
Eileen graduated from Union Star High School in 1948, following that she received her beauty license from Castor’s Beauty School and was employed at Westab.
Mrs. Siela was the leader of Catholic Youth Organization at Seven Dolors, where she was also President of the Altar Society. Eileen volunteered for The United Way and was a Cub Scout Leader.
However first and foremost she was a farmwife. She raised calves, chickens, turkeys, loved to garden and she was the best cook around for miles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Karl, Dayle and Darrel Marshall.
Survivors: husband; daughter, Carol Wright; son, Tim Siela; grandchildren, Charles Wright, Chad Wright, Natalie Wright-Newman, and Chantell Pennington (Tony); great-grandchildren, Aklen, Macie, and Jaxsen; brothers, Junior Marshall, Coen Marshall (Renee), and Lloyd Marshall (Jean); and sisters, Mildred Winter, Twila Tabler, and Betty Lyon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Monday, Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Interment St. Mary’s Hurlingen Cemetery, Hurlingen, Missouri. Parish Rosary 5:30 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends 4:00 to 5:30 P.M. Sunday, where friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Sunday. Doris Eileen Strickland
1922-2013

Doris Eileen Strickland, 90, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at a healthcare center in Westminster, Colorado.
She was born October 1, 1922 to Joseph M. and Lilly M. (Reinert) Edwards.
She married John Wrayman “Dynamite” Strickland in May, 1949.
Doris served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army as a registered nurse during WWII. She was a homemaker until her children were in school at which time she resumed her nursing career at Missouri Methodist Hospital.
Mrs. Strickland was a member of Hyde Valley Methodist Church and Carnegie Culture Club. She was an accomplished ceramics artist, a seamstress, and she enjoyed gardening, specializing in beautiful flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Strickland; daughter, Cheryl Hallman; two sisters, Erma and Thelma; and two brothers, George and Joseph.
Survivors: daughter, Diana Peters, Denver, Colorado; son, Mark Strickland, St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Sean, Jason, Casey, Andy, Sheila, Angie, Jenny, and Talia; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Claudia Witt (Bob); brother, Charles Edwards (June); and numerous nieces and nephews.
