Logan Snodderly, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away, May 7, 2013 at his home.
Logan was born February 9, 1922 in Bolckow, Missouri to Charles C. and Opal (Ellis) Snodderly.
Logan was a graduate of Bolckow High School in 1940.
He joined the Marines in January 1942 and served with the 1st Marine division in the South Pacific during World War II, and served in Guadalcanal and Pelelu.
Logan married Olive Jean Lewis on December 1, 1945, to this union was born son Lewis “Doug” (Linda).
Logan worked all his working life in the Wholesale Plumbing and Heating and Air Conditioning business and managed St. Joseph Furnace and Supply. In 1977, he with his son started Century Supply Corporation, retiring in 1987.
He enjoyed traveling, having traveled most of the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and enjoyed going to the Lake of the Ozarks. Logan belonged to Charity Zeredatha Lodge #331 and was of the Methodist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: wife; son, Doug Snodderly (Linda); grandson, Logan Snodderly (Linda); three great-grandchildren, Logan, Hunter and Allie Jean Snodderly; two step-grandsons, Mark Cathcart (Jenny) and Mike Cathcart (Treesa); two step-great-grandsons, Brody and Brett Cathcart; brother, Bryce Snodderly (Illah); sister, Joy Flynn (Gene), and Kathy Phillips (Dan); brothers-in-law, Curt Lewis (Doris), and Vernon Brown; sister-in-law, JoAnn Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Entombment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
