A standoff near Trimble, Missouri is over, and two Kansas prison escapees are in custody.

The hours-long standoff near Route Z and US-169 ended at about five p.m. Friday.

Allen M. Hurst, 31, and Scott A. Gilbert, 49, were taken into custody. Both were convicted in Sedgwick County, Kan., in 2010 of multiple counts of burglary and theft. A third escapee from the Lansing Correctional Facility, Randy Ridens, 57, is believed to be at large in the Leavenworth area.
