A rear-end collision east of St Joseph sent an Easton, Missouri man to the hospital with moderate injuries Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 73-year-old James Miller was driving on US 36 about three miles east of St Joseph at noon Saturday when his vehicle hit the rear of a tractor trailer. His car left the roadway and hit an embankment.

The Denver man driving the semi was not injured. Miller was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
