A motorcyclist from Princeton, Missouri escaped with minor injuries after a broadside collision with a truck Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Michael Covey, 54, was riding his Harley Davidson along US-136 at Broadway in Princeton at about 3:30 p.m.

A Mercer, Missouri man, Jimmy Martin, 50, tried to cross the highway on Broadway and failed to yield the right of way.

The Harley hit the side of the Dodge truck. Martin was not injured. Covey refused medical treatment at the scene.
