City Will Pick Up Storm Debris Left At Curb

storm damage 130519bThe city of Saint Joseph has reconsidered and will help residents clean up after the Sunday night windstorm. Residents are to leave tree limbs at the curb by nightfall May 27. City crews will begin picking up the debris the next day. They’ll make only one pass and will not return to pick up more debris brought later.  Shrubs, leaves, and other non-storm material will not be collected.

Officials estimate it will take two weeks to pick up debris along all 428 miles of roadway in the city. During that time routine street maintenance operations will be suspended.
