Cameron Water Advisory Lifted

water fluorideCameron is no longer under a water shortage advisory.

The City Council passed a resolution this week lifting the advisory that called for voluntary water conservation.

Because of the recent rainfall, the City’s water supply has recovered to levels that do not require the advisory. The advisory was issued in March.

The ordinance did place restrictions on washing buildings, flushing sewers and gutters, and watering grass. Other restriction included serving water in restaurants only if a customer asked for it.

The resolution that removed the advisory was passed Monday.
