The British government’s emergency committee convened after two people hacked a soldier to death on a London street. Prime Minister David Cameron says there are strong indications it was an act of terrorism. He called it “an appalling murder.”

Cameron adds his top advisers will examine the potential security implications of yesterday’s attack. The alleged attackers waited at the scene until police arrived.

One of the men talked to an ITN news crew yesterday as his victim lay motionless on the ground in the middle of the street. He said, “We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you. The only reason we have done this is because Muslims are dying every day.”
