A man running from police picked the wrong building to run into — St. Louis County Police headquarters.

A Clayton officer pulled over a car Wednesday afternoon. The driver got out, pushed an officer and ran.

The officer chased him to a downtown Clayton building. The suspect apparently didn’t know the building is home to St. Louis County police, and he ran inside.

St. Louis County Police Lt. Bryan Ludwig and officer Randy Vaughn chased the man and blocked him into a corner. He was turned over to Clayton police.

Clayton officers have not disclosed the man’s name or why he ran.
