A rollover accident east of St Joseph early Saturday morning sent two people to the hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report indicates a Toyota Corolla driven by James Babcock, 47, of Agency, left the roadway along Missouri Route 6, six miles east of St Joseph, just before 3am Saturday.

The vehicle hit the ground and several trees before overturning.

Babcock was taken by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. His passenger, Jonah Babcock, 12, was treated at Heartland for what were described at the scene as minor injuries.
