A 24-year-old Gallatin man charged with raping his four-month-old daughter has waived his right to a preliminary hearing and is due back in Daviess County court June 12th.

Bryan Scott Carter is charged with six felonies, including statutory rape, statutory sodomy, incest and child endangerment.

In court documents, officials say Carter has confessed to having intercourse with the child March 30th.

The child was seriously injured and underwent surgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Carter remains behind bars at the Daviess/Dekalb County Regional Jail.
